Overview
Bertie's practice focuses on advising landowners and estates on a wide variety of management and succession issues including the sporting, agricultural and commercial aspects. Such advice ranges from everyday solutions to decisions of great importance to the family. Bertie acts as a trustee for a number of landowning families and thrives on the issues and challenges that face landed families.
Bertie has extensive experience in advising clients looking to purchase estates, farms, country houses and grouse moors either as part of a portfolio or as first time buyers. Bertie prides himself on giving straight-forward practical and prompt advice. Such advice includes all aspects of the purchase transaction and also the appropriate structure of the client's ownership.
