Overview
Paul's focus is on commercial real estate with a particular emphasis on property investment, acting for major private and institutional investors. He has particular experience in charity property (whether functional, trading or investment) and mixed use property.
He also acts for many luxury brand retailers in relation to their West End and City premises.
Highlights
Paul has acquired two of the Oxford Circus quadrants for clients over the years.
He has advised on the investment property portfolio acquisitions and disposals for The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and for ultra high net worth investors.
He was also involved in the acquisition of the highest value freehold to date on Wellcome Estate for a group of lessees.
Publications and speaking engagements
Paul regularly lectures for CLT on aspects of landlord and tenant law, and has presented in Russia and Italy on real estate issues.
Paul writes the real estate chapter in Tolley's Charities Manual and has published numerous briefings on a wide range of real estate issues. He currently edits the Real Estate Group's market briefing.
Memberships
Paul is on the committee of the Commercial Real Estate Lawyers Association.
He is also a member of the Charity Property Association and the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners.
