Overview
Julian is Head of the Family Practice Group. He focuses on divorce and family law, in particular in the financial repercussions of relationship formation and breakdown. His work frequently has an international perspective, often involving tax and trust implications, substantial assets or incomes.
Julian has developed a niche practice in negotiating domestic and international pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements, whose importance has increased substantially in recent years.
He handles disputes relating to children, both within and outside of the Court forum.
Julian is recognised by Chambers and Partners 2012 as one of only five 'Star Individuals' in family law and is described as "the best of his generation."

He also lectures on family law topics and is the author of the divorce chapter in Tolley's Administration of Trusts and Estates.

On a personal note
For two years, Julian worked in America for a student travel company after he graduated. He has since then been passionate about foreign travel and enjoys world cinema.
