Overview

Meriel is head of the employment team and advises employers and employees, particularly in the financial services sector. She also advises charities.

Meriel is a trained mediator and was described in the 2006 Chambers directory as having ‘considerable expertise, sensitivity and responsiveness’; in the 2009 legal directories as heading a 'fautless practice' and in Legal 500 2010 as 'extremely able in handling her adversaries in contentious matters'.

Recent cases of note include defending and obtaining injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants, garden leave and protect confidential information, as well as cases on discrimination and whistleblowing.
