29 March 2023 | 1 minute read

As leading specialists in international arbitration, we are delighted to have contributed to the fourth edition of the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) Guide to M&A Arbitration.

Third-party funding (also referred to as litigation funding, third-party financing or legal finance) has become increasingly significant and can be used to fund a broad range of arbitration matters, conducted across different sectors and under different procedural rules.

Third-party funding is reported to be frequently used in disputes related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).  In this chapter, we consider significant initiatives and developments regarding third-party funding, its role in international arbitration generally and some of the particularities concerning the funding of M&A arbitration.
