Withers recognised by Legal 500 Asia Pacific

Withers was recognised in the latest edition of Legal 500 Asia Pacific for its strengths and achievements in multiple practices across its offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.

The firm's Tax & Trust team in Hong Kong, as well as both its Private Wealth and Tax teams in Singapore, were awarded Tier 1 rankings. Overall, Legal 500 recognised Withers for its responsive and efficient work, diverse global connections and international experience.

The legal directory listed Withers' strengths in cross-border structuring, including engagements that have an India, Japan, UK, US, and Australia nexus, as well as its strong focus on funds, family offices, private trusts, family charities and foundations.

Hong Kong partners Timothy Burns, Wei Zhang and Tim George, as well as Singapore Partner Eric Roose, were recognised as Leading Individuals and Rising Stars in these areas.

Other notable recognitions went to the Real Estate & Construction and Tax teams in Japan as well as the Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A, Dispute Resolution, Labour & Employment, Intellectual Property and Restructuring and Insolvency teams in Singapore.

In addition, Singapore partner Jim Lim was named as a Leading Individual in Intellectual Property and Japan partner Gerald Fujii was named as a Leading Individual in Real Estate & Construction.

Overall, Withers was recognised in 11 separate practice areas across Asia with 36 Withers’ lawyers noted by name.
