Withers tech advises as climate fund ETF Partners leads on £10 million Series A investment

1 November 2022 | Applicable law: England and Wales

The Withers tech team has advised venture capital fund ETF Partners as lead investor in the £10 million Series A round into Net Purpose, a platform for sustainable investors, alongside M-Tech capital and Exceptional Ventures.

ETF Partners is a UK-based venture capital fund focused on identifying and backing high-potential start ups with a positive impact.

Net Purpose’s fact-based platform offers statistics on a variety of topics including climate, water, waste, gender, financial inclusion, healthcare and other social issues. Their insights form an investment-grade base of social and environmental performance, with the quality and transparency investors expect of financial data.

London partner James Shaw, comments, “Net Purpose has built the only independent fact-base in the market. Their technology marks a shift in sustainable investing, away from ESG ratings and towards data-led analysis of social and environmental performance. This is a fantastic investment for ETF Partners, who consistently seek and back impact-driven ventures.”

Withers tech is the technology, life sciences and venture capital focused team at international law firm Withers. The Withers tech team was led by James, working alongside partner Susanna Stanfield and associate Yeji Lee.
