Withers tech represents deep-tech VC fund, At One Ventures, on its investment into climate-tech company Evove

5 April 2023 | Applicable law: England and Wales | 1 minute read

The Withers tech team has advised venture capital fund, At One Ventures, on their participation in a £5.7 million seed investment into climate-tech company Evove.

At One Ventures focuses its investment strategy on early-stage companies using innovative deep-tech to upend the unit economics of established industries while dramatically reducing their planetary footprint.

Evove are pioneers serving society with superior filtration and separation technologies. They are harnessing the power of advanced materials, engineering, additive manufacturing and AI to accelerate and deliver perfect membranes. The transition to net minus zero and electrification is driving the demand for lithium way above projected supply capacities. Their Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) solution has proven to perform better than many other technological approaches. The key component is their highly selective lithium membrane, coupled with reverse osmosis and ion exchange technologies.

Helen Lin, At One Ventures, comments: “No deal process is ever a straight line to closing, but the Withers team were there for us to help navigate every bend and turn. They’re thoughtful and knowledgeable partners for any VC.”

London partner Sarah Melaney, comments: "Evove's innovative technology is helping to transform water globally. Their membrane solution delivers a significant reduction in global supply dependence for minerals and boosts productivity of water recycling. This is another fantastic investment for At One Ventures, who champion disruptive companies on a mission for good."

The Withers tech team was led by Sarah Melaney working alongside associate Charlotte Berendt and paralegal Sophia Mitropoulos.
