"I believe because it is impossible" is a phrase that resonates with me, not because I believe reason should be set aside, but because it reminds me to question self-imposed limitations and to approach difficult goals with perseverance and an open mind. I believe that while outcomes are never guaranteed, the attitude with which we meet a challenge often shapes what becomes possible. The phrase is a reminder that the limits we place on ourselves can sometimes be greater than the obstacles before us. I believe that perseverance, a willingness to learn and the courage to keep trying can take us further than we initially imagine.

I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was nine (huge credit to the HK dramas). The journey took longer than I initially expected, but I remained committed to it. In between, I was a busker, a secondary school tutor, and a freelance photographer. The journey to realising my childhood dream has taught me that optimism matters most when it is accompanied by resilience, honest self-assessment and a willingness to adapt. 

This journey was made possible by many people: family and friends who believed in me, teachers and professors who encouraged my curiosity, and mentors who generously shared their time, guidance and experience. Their support carried me through moments of uncertainty and continues to shape the person I am today.

I may now be a lawyer, but I will always remain a student. I firmly believe that learning should never stop, and remain receptive to opportunities that challenge me, take me beyond what is familiar and help me become a better person and lawyer. I try to approach both my work and life with grounded optimism: hopeful about what can be achieved, but realistic about the effort, judgement and discipline needed to get there.
