Francesco is a senior associate in our corporate team.

Francesco advises primarily on Italian corporate and commercial law assisting Italian clients in relation to their commercial interests as well as international clients investing in Italy. He assists in particular on international contractual law, M&A transactions and real estate transactions (both commercial and residential). Over the years, he has acquired a specific knowledge of the food & beverage, fashion and manufacturing industries.

Before joining Withers, Francesco has worked for the commercial department of one of the Italian major law firms.

Italian acquisition by French multinational

Advising a French multinational active in the air cargo sector in the acquisition of five Italian companies operating in the same industry.

Opening of private club in Italy by international hospitality group

Advising one of the most important player in the hospitality industry in connection with their first Italian investment to open a private members club hotel.

Commercial contracts

Advising a number of Italian companies on domestic and international contracts (i.e. supply, distribution, agency, joint venture, license, general terms and conditions).

Liquidation

Providing legal advice to an English liquidator regarding the status of a number of setting aside proceedings in Italy involving the companies under his liquidation and in relation to his possible liability in the event of a closing down of the companies' liquidations.

Sale of minority interest in wine producer

Advising the shareholders of one of the major Italian wine companies in the negotiation of an investment agreement with a private equity fund for the sale of a minority shareholding in the company.
