Gina is a partner in the intellectual property and technology teams and leads the global fashion tech practice.

She focuses on intellectual property disputes, transactions, and procurement for clients across technology, fashion, fashion technology, and other industries. Gina advises businesses and individuals on protecting, enforcing, and commercializing their intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, rights of publicity and other proprietary rights.

With a practice spanning both contentious and transactional intellectual property matters, Gina is uniquely situated to help clients mitigate and navigate complex IP disputes, structure strategic commercial agreements that protect their intellectual property rights and develop intellectual property portfolios aligned with their business objectives.

An experienced trial lawyer, Gina represents clients in high-stakes intellectual property, unfair competition, and trade secret disputes in federal and state courts. She is a registered patent attorney and former computer software engineer, bringing a deep understanding of both the technical and commercial considerations underlying innovation-driven businesses.

As head of Withers' global fashion tech practice, Gina counsels innovative companies operating at the intersection of fashion, technology, and digital commerce. She advises clients on matters involving artificial intelligence (AI), digital assets, and other issues shaping the fashion and technology industries.

Prior to joining Withers, Gina practiced in the Silicon Valley offices of leading AmLaw firms, where she developed a nationally recognized intellectual property litigation practice and was named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star. She further deepened her industry knowledge through studies in fashion law and fashion technology law at the Fashion Law Institute's Intensive Program and the Silicon Valley Fashion and Technology Program.

Achievements

Gina has been recognized for her leadership and innovation in intellectual property and fashion technology law. The Los Angeles Times named her both a 2024 Beauty and Fashion Visionary and a 2024 Legal Visionary in Intellectual Property, and The American Lawyer recognized her as a 2021 Trailblazer. She has also been named a Minority Leader of Influence (2021-2023, 2025 and 2026) and a Woman of Influence (2021) by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Gina earned her JD from The George Washington University School of Law and her BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
