A dual qualified lawyer in Italy and New York, Marco specializes in international commercial and investor-State arbitration.


He has acted as counsel and advocate for construction, energy, and mining companies in international commercial cases under the ICC, LCIA and Milan Chamber of Arbitration rules arising from projects or transactions in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Brazil and Indonesia. He has also represented investors in ICSID and UNCITRAL arbitrations arising from construction, hospitality and mining projects and in the financial sector. Marco's public international law/human rights experience includes assisting a State before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and advising individuals and States on possible claims before the European Court of Human Rights.
Having previously worked as deputy counsel at the ICC in Paris and at the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, Marco's practice benefits from his insight into institutional arbitration. Before obtaining his LLM in International Legal Studies from New York University, Marco spent four years in an Italian firm working on international arbitrations and arbitration-related litigation and did a six-month secondment in a renowned fashion company.

Marco publishes and speaks on international arbitration, including as guest speaker at New York University, Sciences Po, and Bocconi University. He's the UK Chapter Coordinator of AIA-ArbIt-40 (the Italian under-40 arbitration association) and speaks Italian, English, Portuguese and French.

I always try to bring my curiosity towards people and different cultures to my professional life

My passion for dispute resolution and advocacy brought me to law school and has accompanied me ever since.

Over the years, I became fascinated by the international dimension of human interactions and consequently, legal issues. This led me to study and work in Milan, New York, and Paris and to learn several languages. Now based in London, dealing with international arbitration, public international law and human rights matters, I feel I am in the best place to pursue my interests and make use of my civil and common law background.
