Penny Mittonette

Penny is an England and Wales-qualified solicitor in the Private Client and Tax team, based in Singapore.

She advises high-net-worth individuals, their families and their advisers on a wide range of UK tax, trust and estate planning matters, particularly those with an international or cross-border element.

Her experience includes UK tax residence and pre-arrival planning, the UK taxation of offshore trusts and wealth-holding structures, and cross-border estate and succession planning. She also advises on the UK’s Foreign Income and Gains regime and the Long-Term Residence rules for UK Inheritance Tax.

Penny regularly works alongside advisers in other jurisdictions on complex cross-border tax and succession matters, particularly where individuals, their families or their assets have connections to the UK, Asia and the US.

Prior to relocating to Singapore, Penny was based in Withers’ London office, where she completed her training contract.
