Richard is an associate in the intellectual property and technology team, having joined the firm in 2021.

Richard primarily advises technology companies, leading charities and VC funds on the commercialisation and protection of IP and new technologies. Richard has a particular interest in advising clients in the fintech, digital assets, medtech and pharmaceutical sectors, with an emphasis on VC-backed and early stage companies.

Richard has advised on matters across the team's practice, including drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, such as: SaaS agreements, IP licences, consumer terms and conditions, outsourcing agreements and agency agreements. He has also advised on IP and data privacy matters in relation to VC investment rounds, GDPR compliance issues and trade mark protection and enforcement.
