Ellie is an associate in the litigation and arbitration team.
Ellie assists on a range of contentious matters with our Media and Reputation Team, as well as on commercial litigation matters. She has a broad practice, and has worked on cases relating to privacy, defamation, harassment, blackmail, misuse of private information, account forfeiture applications, breach of confidence, misrepresentation and breach of contract. She also advises on non-contentious matters including confidentiality agreements, right to be forgotten applications and pre-publication work.Recognising the extensive cross over between employment and reputational and media issues, Ellie qualified into a split role at the firm, working across both the Employment and Media and Reputation teams for 18 months after qualifying. She is therefore uniquely well placed to advise on disputes with an employment aspect and continues to work closely with the Employment team.
Her clients include senior executives, high net-worth individuals, founders and organisations across a range of industries including politics, education, sport, finance, fashion and charities.
Prior to joining Withers Ellie worked in primary education.
