Sidney Ross
Business development and marketing consultant | London
Sidney is consultant in our business development and marketing team.
Following a career in banking at Italian International Bank Plc, the London subsidiary of Monte dei Paschi di Siena, where she was a private banker and responsible for inter-bank syndication services, Sidney set up Ross Marketing, a marketing and PR consultancy with a focus on the Italian market in the UK and Italy.
She has been a consultant to Withers since 2000. Sidney holds both British and American nationality and speaks Italian and French fluently.
She was decorated by the Italian Government in 1996 as a 'Cavaliere all'Ordine di Merito della Repubblica Italiana'.
An active member of the Italian community in London, she is the Director General of Business Club Italia, an Honorary Director of the British Italian Society and Vice Delegata of Accademia Italiana della Cucina's London Delegation.

'I consider myself a people person; networking is my passion and comes naturally to me'
A lover of all things Italian since my first trip to Italy when I was 15, my life truly revolves around Italy and my Italian friends and contacts. For this reason, I really enjoy working at Withers where I interact with Withers' Italian clients and Italian colleagues on a daily basis, assisting them with any cultural gaps and organising opportunities and events where they can develop new contacts and connections to grow their business both in Italy and in the UK or the US. It is also most satisfying to work with non-Italians who are attracted by Italy.
I consider myself a people person; networking is my passion and comes naturally to me. I take advantage of every possible occasion to introduce X to Y and get a real charge when I see them exchanging business cards!
Coming from a background in international private banking, I feel I developed a special vantage point from which to appreciate Withers' unique approach to clients, namely the focus on the individual/entrepreneur and their families, which carries on through to their businesses and other interests and activities.
