Serious crime

We practice in white-collar and serious crime in the High Court and State Courts of Singapore, including advising on corruption, insider trading, casino fraud, forgery, fraud and market manipulation cases.

The serious crime team regularly act for individuals affected by high-profile cases involving drugs, extortion, kidnapping, robbery, sexual offences and murder.

Shashi Nathan, who is described in Who’s Who Legal as one of Singapore’s leading business crime lawyers, is also the leader of the Criminal Bar, holding the chair of the Criminal Practice Committee of the Law Society of Singapore.

In recent years, we have acted in the largest cheating cases under the Casino Control Act, been appointed by the Court to act in a high profile double murder case involving an off-duty police officer, as well as numerous other complex white and blue collar crime matters.

We are experienced at defending companies facing regulatory action, and in conducting prosecutions for government authorities. As one of the few firms in Singapore with a dedicated criminal practice, we have been instrumental in advancing criminal procedure in the republic.
