Technology has had a large role in the art industry in recent years, from using the internet and Blockchain technology to buy and sell art, to utilizing technology such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality to actually produce art. For example, last year Portrait of Edmond Belamy, which was produced by an algorithm, sold for US$432,500 at a Christie’s auction.
At this breakfast briefing, Withers will speak with London Trade Art, an online platform specializing in prints, multiples and contemporary art that aims to create an art exchange, to introduce some of the recent developments and associated legal issues.
Please RSVP by February 1, 2019, as space is limited.
