Withers’ Helen Cheng was named chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners San Diego Branch (STEP SD) in January.
As part of this role, Helen also serves on the STEP USA board of directors. She is responsible for monitoring branch activities, including educational programs, membership growth, and public policy statements, and budgeting.
Based in the firm’s San Diego office, Helen is part of Withers’ private client and tax team. She is a trusts and estates attorney who focuses on exempt organizations and international tax planning for inbound and outbound transactions.
Helen is joined on the STEP USA board of directors by Withers’ Paul Sczudlo, who is a cross-border tax attorney based in Withers’ Los Angeles office and was recently elected as the Secretary of STEP USA.
