Christopher Birks

Christopher is a senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration team.

Christopher specialises in complex commercial disputes, regularly acting in both international arbitration and cross-border litigation. He has extensive experience with court applications in support of arbitration proceedings as well as the enforcement of arbitral awards. His enforcement expertise encompasses a deep understanding of sovereign immunity, private international law, and asset tracing techniques.

Christopher frequently acts in disputes involving the aviation industry and has represented airlines, lessors, manufacturers, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in cases before the English courts and arbitral tribunals.   

In addition to his contentious practice, Christopher advises on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including with respect to UK sanctions. He has acted for sanctioned persons in relation to applications for OFSI licences and the review of sanctions designations.
