Daniel is the joint managing partner of Withers KhattarWong and leads the corporate and funds team.

Daniel specialises in investment funds and cross-border private equity and M&A transactions. He represents fund managers, institutional and private capital investors, banks, family offices and corporate clients across various asset classes and strategies including real estate, digital infrastructure, healthcare, financial services, venture capital and private equity. In addition to counselling on regulatory issues affecting fund managers and capital markets intermediaries in Singapore, Daniel manages complex fund formation and cross-border investment mandates in the Asia-Pacific region, including India and China.

As a Public Services Commission scholar, Daniel began practising law as a State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor with the Attorney General's Chambers in Singapore before transitioning to private practice in 2002. He has practised in leading US and UK firms and has been responsible for growing the investment funds practice in these firms. His expertise in investment funds and corporate, mergers and acquisitions has been recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific, Legal500 and IFLR1000.

Daniel is particularly keen in mentoring the next generation of lawyers and in creating a successful and sustainable environment for legal excellence.
