Joanne is an associate in the divorce and family team in Hong Kong.
She advises on all aspects of family law matters, including nuptial agreements, divorce and separation, financial arrangements upon separation and divorce, as well as children's custody, care and control and access arrangements, and removal applications.
Joanne is a qualified Collaborative Practitioner and is a trained Family (general and advanced) mediator. A firm believer in tailored out-of-Court settlements suited for each client's specific circumstance, she regularly advises clients through mediation process, including negotiating and finalising mediated outcomes.
Joanne is recognised as a Hong Kong Family Law Rising Star by Doyle’s Guide in 2024.
Prior to joining Withers, Joanne trained at and worked at an independent Hong Kong law firm in their specialist family team. She also worked as a print and multimedia journalist. Her stories have appeared in the South China Morning Post and the International New York Times, amongst other publications.
