Joseph is a partner in the litigation and arbitration team.

His practice focuses on commercial disputes and regulatory matters. Over the years, he advises and represents clients in international arbitration, general commercial disputes, tax and trust disputes, insolvency proceedings and regulatory investigations, with a particular focus on regulatory investigation and cross-border litigation.

He is one of the authors of Sweet & Maxwell’s Arbitration in Hong Kong: A Practical Guide, 2nd Edition, and was a contributing editor of Hong Kong Civil Procedure (the “White Book”).

Acting for clients (corporations and individuals) in general commercial litigation involving matters concerning breach of contract, directors’ duties, shareholders’ rights, tax, fraud, claims for unjust enrichment and other restitutionary relief.

Acting for liquidators in investigation of the affairs of insolvent companies, in restructuring, insolvency and other civil proceedings in Hong Kong.

Acting for various corporations (and their directors) in investigations by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the Securities and Future Commission and for international banks in fraud cases, cross-border litigation and regulatory investigations.
