I first thought about law as a career, believe it or not, after seeing Margaret Lockwood in a 1970s TV show called Justice. I'd had no exposure to the legal world at all before then.

My life at Withers is very different from the picture presented there but actually it's just as much fun. I first became a fraud litigator, next an employment lawyer and then got involved in management. I can tell some quirky stories about all these phases!

I am known for saying I must have a deplorable lack of imagination because I have been here so long but in fact it's a tribute to the firm that I have been able to have three very different careers here and that things are always growing and changing. We've gone from one office to many, spread across US, Europe and Asia, in a relatively short time; and I've had the privilege of working with our very many unusually talented and inspiring people around the world who come from radically different backgrounds and cultures- just like our clients, so I never get bored!
