Rowan is an Associate in the private client and tax team in London.

He advises high net worth individuals, international families, trustees and family offices on a broad range of UK and cross-border tax, trust and succession matters. His practice encompasses inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and estate planning, with a particular focus on international wealth structuring, the taxation of offshore trusts and UK/French cross-border planning.

Rowan advises on the establishment, restructuring and administration of trusts, foundations and family investment structures, as well as the succession and governance issues facing internationally mobile families. He regularly assists clients with UK tax reporting obligations, trust distributions, estate administrations, wills, lasting powers of attorney and lifetime wealth transfers.

His work frequently involves coordinating advice across multiple jurisdictions and working closely with overseas lawyers, accountants and fiduciaries. He has particular experience advising families with UK and French connections on succession, estate planning and tax matters, and has also worked on matters involving the United States, Jersey, the Bahamas and other international financial centres.

Rowan aims to provide practical and commercially focused advice, helping clients navigate complex legal and tax issues in a clear and accessible way while taking account of their wider family and succession objectives.

Outside of his legal practice, Rowan enjoys drawing and watercolour painting. He has a particular interest in landscape and cityscape art and enjoys spending time sketching and painting both in London and when travelling.
