My interest in the law, and property law in particular, was sparked by a lengthy dispute between my parents and their local authority whilst I was a schoolboy.
The dispute was sparked by the local authority objecting to the use of my parents' driveway as an access to a building plot to the rear of our house at the time. After years of negotiations and court dates my parents' case was successful, and the experience led me into my career.
