A significant US based trust

Jack and Henry Stuart advised the trustees of a significant US based trust on the terms of secured lending to one of its beneficiaries and the most effective way to take suitable security over property in the UK. 

A UK based individual

Jack and Edward Jarron advised a UK based individual on the purchase of a recently converted listed barn. The barn was subject to a wide variety of restrictive covenants, many of which were relevant to its conversion and had been breached. Jack and Edward's investigations of the approved plans for the conversion found that the barn had been converted in breach of Listed Building Control. Following Jack and Edward's advice, their client was able to negotiate a reduction in the agreed purchase price. 

Purchase of a Grade I Listed Castle

Jack and Henry Stuart assisted an international investor with the purchase of a Grade I Listed Castle situated on an Ancient Monument and advised on the complicated ongoing obligations in relation to the maintenance of both the Grade I Listed structure and the Ancient Monument. 

Purchase of a grouse moor

Jack and Bertie Hoskyns-Abrahall advised on the purchase of a grouse moor consisting of 6,500 acres, sporting rights over a further 2000 acres, 5 let farms and 11 residential properties. The purchase involved complicated advice on the application of a Countryside Stewardship Scheme between landowner, sporting operator and graziers and the future responsibilities of each party.
