Chloe is an associate in the media and reputation team.

Chloe specialises in media law and reputation management. Chloe holds Higher Rights of Audience - she is thus able to represent clients in the civil Senior Courts of England and Wales. She is highlighted as a recommended lawyer for reputation management by Legal 500 2026. Chloe's recent legal commentary on the growing use and misue of genAI has been published by Solicitors Journal and New Law Journal. Chloe has also authored articles published by The Sunday Times, the Society of Authors, and Spear's Magazine. 

Chloe’s media law practice involves advising on and litigating in the fields of defamation, privacy, harassment, and data protection, regularly assisting individuals and businesses who face reputational risk from intrusive reporting, competitor action and disinformation. She has a wealth of experience in pre-publication and post-publication matters, regularly engaging in pre-publication work on behalf of corporate and individual clients against national newspapers. Her recent clients include celebrities, UHNW and HNWI individuals, high profile businessmen and women, corporate bodies, private equity firms, charities, and chief executives.

She has significant experience in handling online reputation matters, including amending or removing false and inaccurate profiles on due diligence databases such as World-Check, securing the removal of offending and often sensitive material across social media platforms, and ‘Right to Be Forgotten’ requests against online intermediaries. 

Chloe has experience advising individuals subject to a potential criticism as part of an investigation including advice on the Maxwellisation process. Chloe also provides advice on the rights and obligations provided for by the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, in particular in assisting individuals assert their rights of access.

Track record

Academic freedom dispute

Acting (pro bono) for two leading academic professions at a prominent London university in a dispute with the multi-national publisher of their co-authored academic paper, part of which Chloe successfully secured the ongoing publication of their journal in entirely unamended form.

Harassment proceedings

Advising the individual director of a freehold property company in the successful out-of-court settlement of potential libel and harassment proceedings.

Libel settlement

Acting for Raffaele Mincione in the settlement of his defamation claim in respect of two articles published in Corriere della Sera, Italy's oldest and most-read newspaper, alleging embezzlement, fraud and corruption. Settlement included the making of a Statement in Open Court, removal of the articles from the Corriere della Sera website, an undertaking not to republish the articles, and payment of a substantial sum to Mr Mincione.

Pre-publication advice

Acting on a number of media (online, print and broadcast), reputation, and information matters for a leading construction company.

Libel litigation

Lead associate in the team acting for Raffaele Mincione in high-profile libel litigation against Italian newspaper GEDI Gruppo in the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Libel complaint

Representing British actor Laurence Fox in his libel complaint against English actors' union Equity, securing settlement which included the publication by the union of a full public apology.

British film producer

Acting for a British film producer in securing the publication of an apology in print and online by The Daily Mail and Mail Online over a damaging and inaccurate article.

Removal of false and inaccurate profiles

Acting for various HNW clients in amending or removing false and inaccurate profiles on due diligence databases.
