Withers is proud to again be recognized by Chambers & Partners in the latest edition of its High Net Worth (HNW) Guide. The guide identifies and ranks law firms and lawyers around the world, with the HNW Guide specifically focusing on those representing wealthy individuals and families. The rankings were released July 14 and feature six of the firm’s professionals across multiple jurisdictions in the Art and Cultural Property Law category, including:
- Diana Wierbicki, global head of the art law practice in New York, who was recognized in Band 1
- Dean Nicyper, a partner in the litigation and arbitration team in New York, who was recognized in Band 2
- Sarah Barker, a partner in the art business team in London, who was recognized in Band 2
- Eleni Polycarpou, a partner in the litigation and arbitration team in London, who was recognized in Band 3
- Georges Lederman, special counsel in the white collar defense and investigations team in New York, who was recognized in Band 3
- Amanda Rottermund, senior associate in the art team in New York, who was recognized in the associates to watch category
This year, we are particularly proud to have Amanda Rottermund join in the ranking and featured in the associates to watch category. The firm is honored to have also been recognized in Band 1 in the US for the third consecutive year and Band 2 in the UK for their art law practice.
Chambers indicates that Withers is regarded as “a leading firm in the art world,” noting that Diana and her team are highly sought after to advise on complex domestic and international art matters. One source says that the team is “very good at reaching resolutions in an efficient and friendly manner” and another comments that, “They are really the go-to firm regarding the intersection of tax in the art law market. Withers’ Art Law practice group advises the world’s leading collectors, art dealers, galleries, artists, museums and other cultural institutions. In 2021, the firm welcomed Sarah Barker, as a partner in the art business team in London office. The practice also saw the addition of Alison Lonshein, formerly general counsel of the Frick Collection, as a special counsel in New York in 2022.
