Jing Wei (Jing) is an associate in the Withers tech corporate team and advises gamebreaking companies, founders and investors on financing opportunities to help shape tomorrow's world.

He is passionate about changing the world and democratising access for all through technology and entrepreneurship, and is a prominent member of the in-house legal community. Previously Senior Legal Counsel at Babylon where he was the second hire into the legal team, Jing helped scale Babylon from a Series B start up through to its listing on the NYSE via a de-SPAC transaction, as well as advising on its landmark up-to-$550m Series C funding round in 2019 which valued the company at $2bn. He also led two c. $30m international acquisitions and supported on $300m+ worth of debt financing and two $60m+ AI licensing agreements.

In addition to his four and a half years at Babylon, Jing has worked at some of the most elite global law firms (Cooley LLP, Proskauer Rose LLP and Linklaters LLP), where he supported on global multimillion dollar transactions, including various public listings and private equity and M&A deals.

With an extensive understanding of the pressures that tech companies and entrepreneurs face, the funding lifecycle and what drives sophisticated global investors, Jing combines his in-house experience with his private practice background to help all clients on their fundraising journey or their investments, from pre-seed financings through to exits, so that they can focus on making the world a better place.
