Phillip is a senior associate in the private client and tax team.

Phillip helps clients work through a variety of legal matters, including estate planning, intellectual property, and business law. In his estate planning practice, Phillip works with clients in varying family situations and socioeconomic positions to design and implement a comprehensive estate plan on private client matters for high-net-worth individuals and families. His practice encompasses all aspects of estate planning, wealth transfer planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, and charitable planning.

Phillip also serves businesses driven by innovation. His practice includes business transactions and business development centered around intellectual property. As a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he has several years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution. He actively manages several domestic and international IP portfolios, and he works closely with clients to prioritize product development to advance business interests.

Phillip also has experience in general business matters including: strategic entity formation, licensing structures, confidentiality and non-disclosures, employment and independent contractor relationships, and stock and asset purchase agreements.

Phillip earned a B.S. in chemistry from Creighton University and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. He is a member of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and the Texas State Bar, Business Section. Outside of the office, Phillip enjoys many outdoor activities with his wife and two children.
