Attempted restructuring and subsequent insolvency of ZenRock

Represented the interim judicial managers, judicial managers and the current liquidators (from KPMG) in all aspects of the attempted restructuring and subsequent insolvency of ZenRock. 

Purchase of hotel and advice on application of licenses

Represented a consortium comprising Datapulse Technology Ltd (SGX listed) and Pam Holdings I (BVI Company) in the purchase of former Bay Hotel Singapore, and advised on application of relevent licenses. 

US$1.3 billion joint venture

Represented for Indonesian power plant owner, PT PLTG Celukan Bawang, in the joint venture and cooperation with Chinese conglomerate, Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd, in developing, building and owning a gas-fired power plant in Indonesia valued at over US$1.3 billion. 

Series C investors

Acted for both Series C investors in a round of funding by a global e-commerce platform based in Singapore. The investors included one of the world's largest international mail, shipping and distribution organisations and a venture capital subsidiary owned by an Indonesia listed company. We advised our clients in the Series C round investment, including carrying out legal and IP due diligence in numerous countries, negotiation of various definitive agreements and completing the transactions.

Chinese state-owned conglomerate

Acted for a Chinese state-owned enterprise operating as a conglomerate that owns oil depots, hotels, storehouse, cargo transport trucks, garage, supermarkets, and gas stations, in its proposed investment in a coal-fired power BOT project in Nam Dinh, Vietnam.

Solar power joint venture

Acted for a Singapore company in joint venture with Chinese listed company to, inter alia, establish solar power plants in Singapore.

Indonesia project

Acted for an Indian client in a Build Own Operate project in Indonesia for the supply of steam.

PT Kayan Hydro

Acted for PT Kayan Hydro Energy, owner of a hydropower plant located in Kalimantan, Indonesia, as the lead counsel, on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract exceeding US$1 billion with Power China Group's Sinohydro, as well as related financing matters. The EPC contract forms part of the US$17.8 billion energy projects to be built by PT Kayan along the Kayan River in North Kalimantan and is a key project along Indonesia's Comprehensive Economic Corridor within the Belt and Road Initiative.
