Lucy is special counsel in the private client and tax team.
She advises on many aspects of UK private client matters including lifetime and post death tax planning; creation and management of trusts; issues arising from complex UK trust structures and divided families; advice for UK residents, resident non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK domiciliaries and non-residents on UK tax issues both in respect of personal tax and tax on onshore and offshore trusts.

Succession planning for leading hedge fund and private equity managers with assets in or connections with Italy, France, Switzerland and the US, among other jurisdictions. Lucy works with the UK and US based US teams on issues involving clients with both US and UK estate and inheritance tax issues to find the best cross border solutions for them.
Family and trust dispute
Involved in a long running and complex family and trust dispute where Withers acted for the trustees, and made a successful application to the High Court for approval to a division of the trusts and assets between the parties.
