Zoey is an associate in our corporate team.
Zoey assists private clients, family offices, businesses, and companies with a wide range of transactional, corporate and commercial work. She has a keen interest in cross-border investments, joint ventures, restructuring and acquisitions.Prior to this, she has experience in advising companies and businesses in tax-related matters which include income tax, GST and the application of tax treaties and tax residency requirements during her training with the firm's private client, family office and tax team.
Her valuable experience with the firm places her in a well position to address clients' unique business concerns, needs and objectives.

Being able to learn and understand more about the fundamentals, nature and mechanics of the clients' business, their business goals, whilst facilitating a business process fascinates and excites me.
Personally, this is an aspect of corporate and commercial practice which I particularly enjoy.
Corporate practice further appealed to me due to its collaborative and team-oriented nature. The process of negotiation often entails seeking a common ground for clients on both sides of the transaction and devising strategic solutions that would be mutually acceptable to all.
Before I embarked on my legal education/career, I had the honour of pursuing competitive gymnastics as part of the national squad. One greatest takeaway which I had carried forward into my legal career is the mental fortitude and spirit that we can achieve whatever we are bent to achieve.
