Joseph is an associate in the private client and tax team.

Joseph is a US-qualified tax lawyer. His practice focuses on the US tax aspects of wealth-planning structures, succession plans, and closely held businesses. Joseph works closely with his colleagues across the firm’s global offices to find and capitalise on cross-border tax planning opportunities.

Joseph has experience in US income, gift, and estate tax, as well as the taxation of US and non-US trusts. He also has extensive knowledge of the tax systems of the US island territories, including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

Prior to joining Withers, Joseph maintained a generalist US tax practice in which he gained experience in supply-chain planning, financial services, investment funds, and tax litigation.
