Susanna is a senior associate in the private client and tax team.
Susanna focuses her practice on estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, developing sophisticated tax minimization techniques for clients through the use of intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), life insurance trusts, annual exclusion gift trusts and limited liability companies. She also advises clients on post-mortem trust administration matters and California property tax issues relating to transfers of real property. Before joining Withers, Susanna was an attorney at a Los Angeles area law firm specializing in estate planning and trust administration for high net worth clients. Prior to then, Susanna was a corporate associate at a global law firm advising private equity and real estate investment managers on fund formation and SEC compliance matters.
Susanna earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
