David is a partner in the private client and tax team.
His practice is built around a core of tax, trust, estate and charitable planning for wealthy US and international families, with particular emphasis on multi-generational wealth transfer, family governance and family offices. David regularly advises clients on a wide range of legal issues and strategic matters, effectively acting as outside general counsel to families and family offices. He has also served families in a fiduciary roles, frequently participating in challenging judgment calls relating to investments and trust distributions.
David has been featured as one of the 21 People to Know When Starting a Family Office by Business Insider and is a frequent speaker at professional and private family organization events on income tax issues, estate planning and charitable giving and has written on tax matters for various publications. He is also recognized as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 US 2024 and 2025 guides in the area of International Tax.
