Sarina is a paralegal in the litigation and arbitration team.

Prior to joining Withers in 2018, Sarina headed the Department of Probate Services in a reputable trust corporation in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in succession planning, administering estates with contentious and non-contentious probate issues, and being appointed as the Committee of the estates of mentally incapacitated persons under Part II of the Mental Health Ordinance.

Estate of a gentleman domiciled in Singapore who died intestate, estate size over HKD 500 million with valuable real estate properties in Hong Kong under leases. Applied for Grant Ad Colligenda Bona to collect rent and renew leases and conducted Rule 29© application for a Grant of Letters of Administration.

Administer the HKD 150 million estate of a lady who was the sole beneficiary of her husband’s estate and passed away one month after her late husband did. Assisted UK beneficiaries in execution of a Deed of Variation to vary their entitlement for succession purposes.

Administer the estate of a gentleman who was Hong Kong domiciled but deemed domiciled UK for inheritance tax purposes, worldwide IHT would have been over GBP2.5 million but after negotiation with UK tax authorities, received an offer of one million GBP reduction. Assets in four different jurisdictions. Beneficiaries from four jurisdictions consisting of individuals, local and oversea charities.
