Claire is a partner in the dispute resolution team.
She advises individuals and organisations on issues concerning employment, directorships, shareholdings and partnership, across a wide range of business sectors including financial services, insurance, IT, property, sport, advertising and media, fashion and art. She acts for senior executives when joining or exiting a business and has considerable experience working for owner managed and family businesses or individual shareholders in acrimonious disputes. Many of her clients are international and she works closely with colleagues in Italy, the US, Singapore and Hong Kong. She understands the need for clear, commercial advice and has an excellent track record in negotiating settlements for her clients, including through formal mediations.

Claire has been most recently ranked in Chambers UK 2022 as well as cited as a next generation partner in Legal 500 UK 2022, 2021 and 2020. She has also been recognised as a foreign expert in Chambers Global for her work for Italian companies and their UK subsidiaries and UK domiciled Italian executives, particularly those in financial services and the IT sector, and those who are relocating from Italy to the UK.

Acting for a well-known insurance company in the High Court in relation to claims brought by ex-employees.
High Court proceedings
Acting for defendants in High Court proceedings, defending allegations of misuse of confidential information and breach of contract. Advising the minority shareholder in a family run business in a multi jurisdiction dispute including in the High Court Advising CEO's, CFO's and COO's on acrimonious exits.

Advising senior executives on disciplinary proceedings in the context of an FCA investigation.

Advising on quasi partnership and unfair prejudice issues and settling claims via alternative dispute resolution (including mediation).

Advising a London based broking house on its conversion to an LLP and on related employment and partnership issues. Drafting contractual and policy documents for Italian companies engaging senior executives in the UK.
